Motonosumi-Inari Shrine, Yamaguchi

We are talking about a very popular sanctuary where the locals go to make wishes, it consists of 123 Torii gates that extend to a cliff overlooking the ocean. There is a “donation box” in the last Torii located just out of reach at the top of the gate, so whoever can take it all their wishes will come true.

Gion Geisha District, Kyoto

Gion is known as the “geisha district” and is one of the busiest places in Japan. Composed of Gion Higashi and Gion Kobu, it has a large number of tea houses staffed by geishas and maikos. Walking through its small streets and seeing the women in their traditional clothing is one of the main attractions of the area.

Nachi Waterfall, Wakayama

The Nachi waterfall, at 133 meters high, is the largest waterfall in Japan. Of note is the Kumano Nachi Taishai, a sacred shrine built nearby. It is usually the last stop on the tourist pilgrimage known as Kumano Kodo.

Shibuya Crossing, Tokyo

Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kyoto

Zao Ski Resort, Yamagata

Mount Yoshino, Nara

Mount Yoshino is located in the town of the same name in Nara, Japan. In 2004 it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most famous and popular religious and pilgrimage destinations in Japan due to sites such as the Yoshino Mikumar Shrine and Kinpusen-ji. Also, its cherry blossoms make it a lovely postcard.

Blue Lagoon, Hokkaido

It is a truly amazing place, it is an artificial lagoon that changes its shades every day in accordance with the Sun, the weather and the seasons of the year, its trees stand out from the waters and give a magical touch to what is already it’s beautiful. The reason for its creation was a preventive action in case the Tokachikade volcano erupted.
